It was an interesting drive to say the least. The rain, thunder, and lightening did stop about halfway to Big D. Once I got to Sister-in-law K's house the heavens opened up again just as we were unloading my stuff. SILK was gracious enough to open her home to me while I'm here for the next three days at a conference so I can become a better teacher...and so I'll have my three comp days for the next school year. If it weren't for the comp time I doubt I'd spend three days at a Comfort Inn conference room. Who knows, it might be the most wonderful conference I've ever attended.
And if it's not...Big D is a shoppers paradise.
