I'm very much into the holiday this year. I know why. I've been dying to tell you but was told to keep it on the DL. Now, I can tell, I've been given permission.
Larry, aka Daughter and Son-in-law, are coming to my Little Corner of Texas for Christmas. Husband and I are so excited. December 24 can't get here fast enough. This is why I want the house decor perfect, the house to smell like Christmas and to have the perfect music. As you know, music can put you in the Christmas mood like nothing else can.
My iPod has a rather eclectic playlist of Christmas music. I have Eartha Kitt, Bing Crosby, Sixpence None the Richer, Martina McBride, The Eagles, Andrea Bocelli and Mary J. Blige, and many, many others.
My favorite? Unto Us A Child Is Born from Handel's Messiah but not just any version. This one is the one that moves me to tears every time I hear it. Is it because it's sung by the Mo Tab. No, not that. It's the orchestration, the blending of voices and above all the message. Handel got it so right when he set Isaiah's prophetic words to music.
I'd like to know what's on your Christmas playlist. Click the giveaway tab and see what you might get if you do.
