Back to School Giveaway

To commemorate my return to work and your child's, or children's, return to school...unless you home school and then you don't have kids going back-to-school.  I don't know though, do home schoolers have back to school?

Anywho.

I want to help you out just a little bit.  How's about a $25.00 gift card to Target?

You don't have to buy school supplies with it.

You could buy food.  Or clothes.  Or toiletries (I like that word cause it has nothing to do with the toilet!).  Or books.  Or music.  Or candy.  Or gum.  Or, well you get the picture.

Now, if you're like me and have entered a Pioneer Woman giveaway thinking you're going to win, only to see that you are number 9, 254 out of 26,288, you have a better chance of winning here than there.  I hope that doesn't sound bitter 'cause I'm not.  Really, I'm not.

To enter leave me a comment telling me something about yourself.  Nothing too personal if you don't want to.  Maybe something like,  I like worms, or I hate Mythbusters.  Whatever.

Since I've never done a giveaway before, I have no idea how many will enter.  If there is only one comment left, then, hey you're the winner!  If there are 50 comments then your odds of winning are a little less, I'd explain how that works but it has something to do with probability and I have no clue on how that works.  But, the odds are much better than if you're one of 26,288!

To recap:  Enter the giveaway by leaving a comment.  Enter only once.  The giveaway will close on Thursday at 8:00 p.m. central time.

  1. So - when I FINALLY got my BBA in December of 2001 - my brother told me I should go right ahead and start on my MBA - don't wait. Well - I didn't! I was sick of school - it had taken me 8 years to get my 4 year degree - I needed a break. I think I went back to start my Masters about 4-5 years later. I was sitting in the first class - and as I was litening to the professor talk about all the projects, etc - I sat there thinking - WTH am I doing here. I dropped out the next day. I was not ready for it. I still don't know that I am ready for it- at least not an MBA.
Ha - that is my story about school.

  2. I too, am a victim of loser-itis on Pioneer Woman. I used to think I had a chance, but the contests are getting too popular! I really want one of those iPads...

  5. So... My kids are too young for school school... But AJ starts Joy School in 2 weeks! Does that count? We are so excited! I get to help teach and he gets to learn! He obviously doesn't need a backpack or pens and pencils... And we are still working on getting potty trained.... But we're starting school!
I didnt know you wrote a blog... What a great addition for me to add to my list! I loved your previous post about your journey to the United States. Amazing. I wish everyone that lived here had that kind of pride and appreciation for our country. Thank you for sharing!

  6. I like your blog. I didn't even know you had one until now. Haha. Let me see- something interesting- I don't really have much to tell except I have a Dental Anatomy exam in a few days and obviously I am sitting here on Facebook narrowing my chances of making an A... But- I figure it's worth a shot at $25 to Target. Who doesn't love Target? I hope you have an awesome week!!! I think that your blog will also be added to my list of things to do when trying to avoid studying at all costs... :)

  8. We don't have anyone going back to school in our house (yay! Justin is DONE!), but I could use that giftcard to pay for diapers... or something for me. Yeah, I'll probably buy something for me because I'm selfish like that.

    Oh, I like to sew.

  9. Eric is getting ready for his back to school fun. He got the bill for the whole shabang even though he's supposed to have a tuition waiver... so we really hope that gets fixed soon. He hasn't been here a year yet, so I don't think they are allowed to pull his funding until a review at a year. It's probably a mistake.

So, something interesting about me. I am almost caught up on my cleaning schedule! I think I have found all of the things that I forgot to put on it, and I'm feeling good! Baseboards here I come!

  10. Guess I cannot just lurk today! Like you, I love vocabulary and punctuation. My latest heroe's are a couple fella's that travel these United State's, documenting triumph's in eradicating erroneous apostrophe's one sign at a time.
